FREE Ice Age Exhibit Opens!
Your kids will love seeing a life-size saber-tooth tiger skeleton replica, mastodon jaw and tusks, and dozens of other fossils. Everyone will enjoy learning about the great last Ice Age, the Pleistocene Epoch, some 12,000 to 115,000 years ago when vast glaciers spread across North America and Eurasia and strange megafauna roamed the land.

Tour of Layton Castle
Learn about Layton Castle's evolution from a Creole cottage to a castle. Learn about Swiss immigrant Judge Henry Bry and his role in helping to develop Northern Louisiana and beyond. What role did he play in Fort Miro changing its name to Monroe? One of the few historic homes in the United States still lived in by descendants of the first European settlers.

Ouachita Live
Ouachita Live is a free outdoor concert series held in Downtown West Monroe's Alley Park. This exciting concert takes place on the last Friday of the month from March through October. Make sure to bring your lawn chair and make plans to enjoy dining at local restaurants like JAC's Craft Smokehouse, Flying Heart Brewery, or the awesome food trucks that will be in Alley Park. The concert is presented by the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group.
May's Artist: Bruce Sunpie Barnes has cultivated a blend of zydeco, blues, and African rhythms. Sunpie is a photographer, former Cheif's NFL Player, and National Park Service Ranger, and is deeply involved in New Orleans Mardi Gras parade culture as the Big Chief for one of the oldest Arfo-Creole carnival groups in the U.S.
