By Kyrie Collins April 8, 2016
Make your slow cooker the most frequently used appliance in your kitchen with a delicious and nutritious meal that only needs a few minutes of prep. Then you’re free to move on with your day ... and there’s only one dirty pot! This recipe will quickly become a family favorite.

Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli
  • 1 pound boneless sirloin, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth (or dissolve a beef bouillon cube in one cup boiling water)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 Tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1-2 pounds fresh or frozen broccoli
Stir together all ingredients except broccoli in a large slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours. Stir in broccoli and continue cooking for another hour, moving heat to high if using frozen broccoli. Serve over hot cooked rice.

Note: You can add broccoli at the beginning of your cooking time, but if you like the veggies to be a little on the crunchy side, add them at the end.
