Pre-K registration for the 2019-2020 school year is March 18-22, 2019. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2019, to be eligible for the 2019-20 school year. See below the requirements for registration and a list of OPSB schools with Pre-K. Children may be registered at any of the schools listed.
Parents who did not register during registration week may contact any of the schools listed below to ask if they have any available PK openings. Children may still be added to PK classes IF there are available spots that were not filled with children who registered during Registration Week. The parent would need to complete a registration packet and turn in the required documentation at the school.
*A complete registration packet is required to be eligible to be considered for Pre-K. Packets may be obtained and completed at any OPSB school with Pre-K. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 30, 2019, to be eligible for the 2019-20 school year. (see list of schools below)
What you will need for a complete registration:
- Birth Certificate
- Current Shot Record (does not have to be up-to-date until the fall)
- Social Security Card (or notice that you have applied for one)
- 2 Proofs of Residence - 2 current bill copies such as: Utilities - electric, water, gas; Lease, Mortgage or Deed. (no cell phone bills)
- Income Documentation - (as it applies to you from the following):
- 2 consecutive wage statements from the month of or month preceding the application date for EACH working parent in the home OR
- SNAP/Food Stamp printout with all family names shown OR
- Foster Care agreement from DCFS OR
- Letter from employer (signed/dated) stating the average number of hours worked per week and rate of pay OR
- If the CHILD receives SSI benefits, a Social Security Administration statement with 2 consecutive check stubs from the month of or month preceding the application date
