Note from the Publisher- 11/12/20

By Krystal Farnell-Publisher, Monroe-West Monroe November 12, 2020

Hi friends!

I hear some of you have started dragging out the Christmas decorations already. I normally would be right there with you but we are in the middle of a home renovation. 318 Construction has been working in my master suite for almost a month. We moved everything completely out of our room and bathroom since floors, tub, shower, and all were being replaced. So our garage is filled with our stuff from our bedroom and other parts of the house are also holding our belongings. So the thought of bringing down the holiday decor and adding to the 'stuff' just doesn't sound appealing at this moment! They are finishing up with flooring today though so this evening after the husband gets off work, we will start moving some things back. They still have to tile the shower-my tile is on backorder. But so far, I have been pleased and I can not wait to share with you the before and after pictures.

This past week, our family has been randomly voicing our thanks. Most often it's on the way to school when the leaves are changing colors and falling away that help me to remember to show thanks for even the smallest of things. We also brought out our white tablecloth and wrote down what we were thankful for most in 2020. You can see how we do this family tradition here. We have done it since my oldest was 2 years old. I know this year hasn't been what anyone ever saw coming, but there are still moments that we can be intentional and count gifts. For me, I am grateful for good health, that my children are back in school learning, and for you guys. This job has been such fun and I have enjoyed having a creative outlet! Also working to find you all the local events. I truly want to be the mom in the know and I want you to continue telling me of things I may not know so that I can share it here. This holiday season is going to be great, there are so many things going on in the community for December. Take a look at the Mac Kid Calendar for December and you won't be disappointed at all!

Talk real soon,

Krystal
