Who doesn't love dogs? Big, small, short, and tall, we love them all! And just when you think you can't love them anymore dress them in cute little costumes and watch them being chauffeured around in little wagons... pure joy!
Pet Registration is officially open and we hope our Macaroni Kid Family is eager to participate. This is a primary fundraiser for PAWS of NE Louisiana.
PAWS of NE Louisiana, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving the Northeast Louisiana area since 2003. It was founded by local residents who realized the problems that our community faced regarding animal welfare would not go away without intervention and education.
They are an all-volunteer organization that is guided by a volunteer board of directors. We do not have a physical location, we do not have paid employees, and we are not a shelter. PAWS is not a branch or division of any national agency. We do not receive tax funding. Our sources of funding are fundraisers and donations and grants from individuals and organizations. Since its inception, PAWS has grown and flourished thanks to our volunteers, members, and supporters.
PAWS provides services to our community through our many Programs: Spay/Neuter Assistance, Shelter Animal Rescue, Tag Your Pet, and Pet Therapy/Humane Education.

Since its inception, PAWS has saved many hundreds of animals through rescue and hosting offsite adoption days. Thousands of pets have been spayed or neutered to end the cycle of unwanted puppies and kittens.
PAWS has had the honor of being elected Delta Magazine’s Best of the Delta Non-Profit Organization years 2012-2018. July of 2018, PAWS was recognized by the Better Business Bureau, serving Northeast and Central Louisiana and the Ark-La-Tex, with the Torch Award for Non-Profits.
The annual Krewe of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade fundraiser began in 2007 where scenic Downtown West Monroe hosts the family and pet-friendly Parade. Consider this your official invitation to do something great, register now!
Preregistration Benefits:
Pre-Registration - $25 to register your 1st pet (includes light up paw print bead), $5 to register each additional pet. If you preregister, you will go to the preregistration table on parade day to check in. We will be set up in the 100 block of Commerce Street, West Monroe, LA. **If you wait to register on parade day, the fees will be $25 for your 1st pet (NO light up paw print bead), $10 for each additional pet.
