Random Acts of Kindness Day will be celebrated on February 17th, 2022 but let's get it kicked off now! You hear of these huge acts of kindness and, don't get me wrong, they are WONDERFUL.  But what I want you to realize is that you don't have to go big to make a difference.  Even a small act of kindness can make a big impact on our communities.  There are a LOT of wonderful, simple, quick, and inexpensive things you can do to brighten someone's day.  And if we all do a little, we can do a lot!

There are many great ideas of random acts of kindness we can all do.  I've tried to find the quick, simple yet effective things everyone can do to encourage as many of you to try at least one.

Here are some ideas for random acts of kindness:

  • Spread some love by donating peanut butter to the Foodbank of Northeast Louisiana.
  • Help a neighbor with yard work.
  • Tape a note and $1 to a vending or soda machine.
  • Babysit for friends so they can run errands.
  • Walk someone else’s dog.
  • Pay for the order of the car behind you in the drive-thru.
  • Take coffee to someone that works outside in the cold.
  • Tape quarters to bubble gum machines.
  • Send an uplifting text.
  • Give a compliment to each person you see today.

Random acts of kindness warm the heart.  Feel free to share your ideas and experiences at mackidmonroela@macaronikid.com
