More than 10,000 people will visit the Ike Hamilton Expo Center this weekend to take part in the 40th Annual AG Expo, a family-friendly educational event that is unique to North Louisiana, South Arkansas, West Mississippi, and East Texas. According to Millie Marie Warden, Executive Director for the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council, there will be over 100 booths at The Ike to educate the public on the importance of agriculture and farming to Louisiana and the surrounding area.
While at AG Expo, families will be able to take a stroll down AG Alley where they can listen to a series of lectures about different aspects of agriculture and watch a chicken hatch, enjoy some time at a petting zoo, and take pictures in a photo booth. There will also be a Junior Livestock Show on Friday and Saturday along with a Horse Breed Extravaganza where visitors can see the Clydesdales and other horses showcased including a trail ride demonstration.
AG Expo 2022 will take place Friday from 2PM-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-4PM at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center located at 501 Mane Street in West Monroe. Advance tickets are only $5 per person and will be $7 at the door each day. Children 6 and under will get in free.
