Young Voices of Northeast Louisiana

Does Your 5th - 12th Grader Love to Sing?

By Rickey and Missy Robertson, Publisher, Macaroni Kid Monroe - West Monroe January 16, 2022

The Young Voices of Northeast Louisiana is an organization dedicated to developing musical artistry in every child through the singing of choral repertoire. At this time, Young Voices offers a Concert Choir for all children (boys and girls) in 5th-12th grades.

Their founder, Lea Sheppard has been involved in the music education of children in Northeast Louisiana for over 18 years. She received her BA in Music in 2005 and her MA in Teaching in 2006. Since then, she has taught private voice and piano lessons/classes, served at various local churches as a worship leader, and is currently the music teacher/choir director at Swartz Upper and Lower Elementary. She has been a Monroe resident her whole life, loves the children of NELA, and would love you and your family to partner with her in bringing a wonderful musical, educational, and service-oriented opportunity to the children in our region!

The Young Voices of Northeast Louisiana is all about musical excellence, fun, friendships, and creating lifelong cherished memories!

Weekly rehearsals are held on Mondays, 5:30-7:00 at North Monroe Baptist Church, 210 Finks Hideaway Road, Monroe, LA.
