Elvis Presley packed the house in 1974 and 75 when he came to Monroe and played TWO shows each time. People made memories that they still talk about to this day.  Now families from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas will get their chance to make memories on Friday, February 11th.  “It’s the closest we could get to bringin’ Elvis back to Monroe,” exclaimed Clay Caissie, the Venue Promoter for the Monroe Civic Center.  World-renowned Elvis Tribute Artist “Dean Z” will be performing LIVE at Monroe’s W.L. “Jack” Howard Theater for one night only this time around.  Elvis Presley Enterprises has officially awarded him the title “Ultimate Elvis,” he was named “World’s Greatest Elvis Tribute Act” by EPE in 2013 and Dean Z was named the Branson Entertainer of the Year for 2021.  Clay went on to say, “He made my wife cry when we saw him in Branson last year at Christmas.  She told me, ‘This is what my parents felt like when they watched him.’”

Whether you are looking for a romantic way to kick off Valentine's Day weekend, want to get a head start on Mardi Gras festivities, or you’re interested in taking your parents on a trip down Memory Lane, this is going to be a show with ALL the moves, the jumpsuits, the gyrations, and the crowd excitement of THE Elvis shows that took place for years.  Dean Z highlights the two decades of Elvis from his early days in the 1950s through his glory days of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Tickets are still available through the Monroe Civic Center Box Office and online through ticketmaster.com.

And to top it all off, The King of Cooking, Celebrity Chef Cory Bahr will be on-site serving Elvis-inspired food and cocktails.  What exactly will be served is still a surprise, but I can’t imagine they won’t serve up some peanut butter and banana sandwiches “Cory-style” and put together some “pink” drinks in honor of a “Pink Cadillac”.  It’s sure to be a night to remember.  Tickets are as low as $20, and they are even offering a limited number of VIP experiences.  You’re gonna wanna check out Dean Z and his amazing Elvis Tribute Show Friday, February 11th at the Jack Howard Theater.  And we’re gonna want to hear ALL about it when it's over.
