We are so excited about the 2023 Twin Cities' Mardi Gras Parades! We have a special announcement; we've been invited to take a tour of the Krewe of Janus Float Den and you're invited too! You'll get to meet King Lee Sawyer and Queen Suzette Sawyer, get up close and personal with the floats, eat some King Cake, and get some beads!
This is a sensory-friendly event and a great way to kick off a day of fun!

Who are this year's King and Queen?
King Janus XL, Dr. Lee Sawyer, is a physics professor and the Director of Chemistry and Physics at Louisiana Tech University. He is also part of an international experiment, ATLAS, at the CERN laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland. Lee has been a member of the Krewe of Janus since 2016, and he thoroughly enjoys spreading the spirit of Mardi Gras.
Queen Janus XL, Suzette Sawyer, is a newly retired secondary teacher after 24 years of service. She has been a member of the Krewe of Janus since 2015 and is the current Secretary. She has served on the Krewe of Janus Board as Secretary for six years and one year as a Captain. She loves everything about Mardi Gras.
King and Queen Janus XL are excited to visit as many schools/groups/organizations as they can and can't wait to meet all of you on 2/4/23 at the KOJ Float Den!
