Macaroni KID Monroe - West Monroe has a list of seven thrilling local events that will surely add excitement to your Spring Break. From outdoor adventures to cheering on some future Olympian champions, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Get ready to immerse yourself in the magic of Spring Break and let the memories you make last a lifetime!

Local Activities for Spring Break

1. March 28th, 2024 - Movie Under the Stars ($5.00 2 and Up)

The Northeast Louisiana Children's Museum is known for presenting premier events and their Annual Easter Village is one of the most eggsciting! 

Bring a lawn chair and prepare to enjoy an outdoor movie, Peter Rabbit. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase. Call now to reserve your spot at (318) 361-9611.

2. The Great Jellybean Hunt at Kiroli! 

This exciting event kicks-off on Saturday, March 23, 2024, and your family is going to have so much fun! This is a free event that is included with your $1 admission to Kiroli Park. Click the link for all the details. 


3. Day Camp at MoJoy Studio

Spring Break will be so much fun for your little artist at these awesome MoJoy Studio Day Camps!
Day Camps: Wild Wonder (5-12), Colorburst (5-12), Little Makers (2-5), Day of Happiness (5-12), April Fools (5-12).

4. Spring Poster Contest (K-5th Grade) presented by Keep West Monroe Beautiful (Ends April 8th, 2024)

Students are encouraged to enter this year's Spring Poster Contest, using the theme (Keep West Monroe Cleaner and Greener)! Entries are due Monday, April 8th, 2024, and can be dropped off at West Monroe City Hall. Contact Keep West Monroe Beautiful at: info@kwmb.la for more information. Entries must be submitted on a standard sheet of paper and include the student's name, grade, and school on the back. 


5. USA Olympic Table Tennis Trials - Championship Round (Sunday, March 24th, 2024)

The West Monroe Sports and Events Center is hosting a USA Olympic Event! Just imagine winners of this event will head to the 2024 Summer Games in Paris! For a new Spring experience, you can reserve your tickets now. TICKET PURCHASE


6. Ouachita Live: Concert Series - Friday, March 29th, 2024, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Featuring Russell Welch Hot Quartet (Swing/Gypsy Jazz)! This free family-friendly event will be a wonderful experience with Flying Heart Brewery within walking distance and food trucks onsite you can dine and enjoy the music. Make sure you bring lawn chairs and don't forget to wear dancing shoes. 

You could make this an extra special 'staycation' by checking availability at Hamilton House Inn located on Trenton Street/Antique Alley within walking distance to the concert and restaurants like Jac's Craft Smokehouse and some wonderful bakeries! This would be extra fun because Easter Market on the Alley is taking place on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, and will feature artisan vendors and Easter Bunny Wagon Rides. 


7. First Bird Hike of Spring presented by Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Saturday, March 30th, 2024, 8:00 am

Welcome the first of the spring migrants with us here at the refuge. We will take a 1.25-mile hike along our Nature Trail and Wildlife Pier in search of a variety of songbirds, wading birds, and raptors. The hike is free, suitable for all ages, and handicap accessible. Binoculars are not provided but are recommended if you have them. (Accessible Event)
