Teaching is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions in the world. Teachers are responsible for shaping the minds of the next generation, and their impact on society cannot be overstated. However, even with all the wonderful aspects of teaching, it can also be a very difficult job. That's why attending a teacher symposium is a great way to prepare for the upcoming school year.

The NELA Teacher Symposium is a celebration of the teaching profession, and it promises to be a dynamic atmosphere where teachers can collaborate with their peers and get excited about teaching again. The keynote speaker for the event will be Alberta Brown Green, M.Ed, NBCC, LPC, LPC-S, who has a broad range of experience from business training and consulting to marriage and mental health counseling. Alberta has nearly 20 years of experience working within state entities, higher academia, corporations, the private sector, nonprofits, and small, medium, and large businesses.

In addition to the keynote address, there will be breakout sessions, engaging speakers from the John Maxwell Team and the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, and SEL training. Teachers will also receive one of the mandatory 23-24 training certificates, which will help them stay up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and strategies.

But that's not all. Teachers who attend the symposium will also enjoy a delicious lunch, have the opportunity to win prizes, and could even win a $1000 classroom makeover!

The symposium will be held at Tower Place on July 13th, 2023, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and the cost is $100.00. This is a great opportunity for teachers to come together, learn from each other, and get inspired for the upcoming school year. Whether you're a new teacher just starting out or a seasoned veteran of the classroom, the NELA Teacher Symposium is an event you won't want to miss.
