Louisiana ChickaDees: A Dance Group for Girls 5-12 Years Old

Perfect for the child that dreams of dancing and being on stage!

Calling all aspiring young dancers! The Louisiana LunaChicks are thrilled to announce the formation of their new dance group, The Louisiana ChickaDees. This exciting opportunity is open to girls between the ages of 5 and 12, who are eager to showcase their talents and have a passion for dance.



Recruitment Dates:
Date: August 1st and 3rd, 2023
Time: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: Powell Street Community Center
1401 Powell St., Monroe, LA

Recruitment Process:
The Louisiana LunaChicks will interview girls and parents/guardians to make them aware of all requirements, rules, and responsibilities. Recruits and parents/guardians must be present at recruitment.  They will be accepting 50 girls. There will also be a nominal fee to participate and they welcome business or individual sponsorships.

Age Requirements:
The dance group is recruiting girls 5 -12 years of age. Dancers must turn 5 by September 30th, 2023 to participate. 

No previous dance experience is required to join the ChickaDees. The LunaChicks believe in providing a supportive environment where girls can learn and grow, regardless of their dance background. This is an excellent chance for beginners to explore their interest in dance and develop their skills.

Practice Days and Times: (Subject to Change)
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Time: 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm
Requirement: ChickaDees must attend practice at least 2 times per week.
Location: The Powell Street Community Center

The founder and president of the Lousiana LunaChicks, Stacy Gibson, has the vision to empower young girls and instill important life lessons through dance. By working together as a team, members of The ChickaDees will learn the value of teamwork, dedication, and discipline. These qualities will enhance their dance skills and prepare them for success in various aspects of their lives.
