High-energy showman Wayne Toups has been nicknamed “The Cajun Springsteen” or “Le Boss.” Toups is one of the most commercially successful American Cajun musicians, winning a Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Album in 2013. Toups has combined the music genres of Cajun, zydeco, soul, and southern rock to create a genre he has coined “Zydecajun.”

Monty Russell and Friends will open the show. “Offbeat” magazine calls Monty “a genuine raconteur of Americana.” He has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Irma Thomas, Blues Traveler, and many others. Wayne Toups and his band will follow Monty Russell. No Good Horses will end the show. Described as “rock and roll with a cowboy hat,” No Good Horses plays a range of today’s country. Audiences will dance and sing along to these favorites played on pedal steel and fiddle woven through guitars and bass rhythm. An outdoor firework finale will end the show on the grounds of the Ike Hamilton Expo Center at 9 p.m.
