Get ready, Monroe—the 2025 Dragon Boat Festival is bigger, better, and at an exciting new location! This year, the action moves to the University of Louisiana Monroe, where teams will race across the bayou while families enjoy an incredible festival atmosphere. And the best part? It all supports the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana, making this their biggest fundraiser of the year!
What’s New This Year?
This year’s festival is bringing even more excitement with a brand-new festival layout along Warhawk Way. The street will be completely blocked off to make room for an expanded vendor area, food trucks, tons of activities, and Macaroni KID Monroe-West Monroe will be in the Kid's Zone!
The fun kicks off at 9:00 AM with a parade down Warhawk Way, setting the stage for a day of thrilling dragon boat races, delicious food, and nonstop entertainment. Whether you're paddling, cheering, or just soaking in the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone!

Why This Event Matters
While the races are packed with excitement, the real reason we gather is to support the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana. Every dollar raised helps fund essential programs that provide early childhood education, parenting support, and youth development. When we come together for this event, we’re making a real difference in the lives of local families.
