And whether you’re hopping from a pancake breakfast to a redneck parade to fireworks over the river, a little preparation goes a long way toward keeping everyone happy — especially the tiny humans who are prone to sudden snack-related meltdowns.
A few things you might want to toss in your “Holiday Survival Bag”:
- Snacks (the good kind — the ones that buy you 7 minutes of peace)
- Water bottles
- A warm blanket for cozy parade-watching or a portable fan, depending on the Louisiana weather!
- Foldable chairs
- Wipes and sanitizer (sticky hands will happen)
- Glow sticks to keep kids visible and delighted after dark
- A backup charger, because you will take 143 photos

Christmas on the Farm
