Circle it in bold on the family calendar! The Black Heritage Parade is stepping off in Monroe on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (with line-up beginning at 7:00 a.m.).

This cherished community tradition honors Black history, culture, and achievement with marching groups, spirited performances, colorful floats, and plenty of hometown pride. What began as a meaningful way to recognize leaders and preserve heritage has grown into a joyful, multigenerational celebration that brings families together year after year.

This year's Grand Marshall is Chris Lewis with Coney Island Connection West Monroe!

This event is wonderfully family-friendly — so grab your lawn chairs, bring a few snacks, and settle in for a morning full of music, energy, and connection.
