March is Youth Art Month (Submit Art Now)

The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council Spotlights Student Artists Across 12 Parish!

By Missy Robertson, Publisher, Macaroni KID Monroe-West Monroe February 26, 2026

March is almost here, and that means it’s time to celebrate the incredible creativity of our region’s young artists.

Throughout the entire month, the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council will spotlight student artists every single day across its 12-parish region in honor of Youth Art Month — a national celebration recognizing the importance of arts education and the powerful skills students gain through the arts.

From colorful canvases and striking photography to powerful stage performances, student talent comes in many forms. Submissions are open for:

🎨 Visual Artists – drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and more
🎭 Performing Artists – theatre, dance, music, vocal performance, band, choir, and beyond

Parents, students, and educators are all invited to submit students for recognition. Youth Art Month highlights more than artistic ability — it celebrates the creativity, confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking skills that grow when students engage in the arts.

Let’s show our community just how much talent lives right here at home.

🗓 Submissions are accepted throughout March.

Help us celebrate the artists of today — and the creative leaders of tomorrow.
