At Macaroni KID Monroe–West Monroe, we usually focus on finding the best family fun around Northeast Louisiana. But sometimes the grown-ups need a night out, too—and this one is definitely not for the kiddos! Not to mention, it's a fundraiser for one of our partners, Children's Coalition for Northeast Louisiana!
True Crime Live: M. William Phelps comes to Monroe on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and if your podcasts, watchlists, and bookshelves are filled with true crime, this is a rare chance to experience it LIVE.
And here’s the big news: fewer than 100 General Admission tickets remain!
Meet the Man Behind the Stories
M. William Phelps has spent decades investigating the cases and people behind some of the darkest true-crime stories.
He’s a New York Times bestselling author and award-winning investigative journalist, as well as the creator and former host of Investigation Discovery’s Dark Minds. He consulted on the first season of Showtime’s Dexter and is the executive producer, writer, and host of the hit true-crime podcast franchise Paper Ghosts and Crossing the Line with M. William Phelps.
Phelps has also spent years studying serial killers and the psychology behind their crimes, bringing a perspective that goes far beyond simply retelling a case. His work on Dark Minds, for example, took him inside unsolved serial-murder investigations with insight from a convicted serial killer.
For true crime fans, getting to hear from someone with that depth of firsthand investigative experience—in person—is something pretty special.
