Dream big, but start small! Join the Region 8 LASTEM Center and KidWind as we help students creatively explore the science, technology, and implications of a world powered by clean energy. Learn to build energy-efficient turbines that will help prepare students to engage in the annual SCILS KidWind Challenge. SciTECH Robotics & Programming Camp
Students entering 5th–9th grade for the 2026 school year are invited to join one or more of our exciting camps below.
Robotics and Programming I: Speed and Sumo
Students will design, construct, and program LEGO robots to race and wrestle!
Dates: June 15–19, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Woodard Hall – Room 135
Cost: $100 per student
SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Build
Students will design, construct, and test an underwater robot for the SeaPerch challenge.
Dates: June 29 – July 2, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Robotics and Programming II: Sky and Strategy
Students will pilot and program CoDrones to navigate challenge courses.

Things to Note:
Please drop off students 10 minutes prior to the start time of camp. Drop-off will take place in the parking lot on the east side of Woodward Hall.
This camp is hosted by staff from the Louisiana Tech College of Education and Human Sciences.
