This summer, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office invites young enthusiasts to dive into the thrilling world of law enforcement with its Cadet Academy. This unique program offers firsthand experiences in various aspects of police work. There is also a special CSI Forensic Workshop, where participants can learn the intricacies of crime scene investigation. Ideal for kids eager to explore a potential career in law enforcement or simply interested in understanding the role of police in their community, the Cadet Academy promises a mix of education, engagement, and excitement.
